Our teachers and staff pour their hearts into our students every single day. As Teacher Appreciation Week approaches (May 4 – 8), we invite you to join us in showering our amazing educators with a little extra love!
We have planned a week of simple, fun themes to help students show their gratitude. Please note that these daily activities are completely optional—the goal is simply to make our teachers smile!
Our Appreciation Schedule
Monday, May 4: Color My World - Wear your teacher’s favorite color today!
Tuesday, May 5: Flower Power - Bring a flower for your teacher. It can be real, picked from a garden, painted, drawn, or even crafted from paper!
Wednesday, May 6: Words of Thanks - Write a heartfelt thank-you note or draw a picture for your teacher to let them know why they are special.
Thursday, May 7: Tasty Treats - Surprise your teacher with their favorite snack or treat.
Friday, May 8: From the Heart - Bring something homemade! Whether it’s a craft, a poem, or a DIY project, our teachers love gifts "from the heart."

🗓️ Know Important Dates

🛌🏽Get A Good Night’s Rest
Elementary students generally need 9–12 hours of sleep, making a bedtime between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM ideal for a 6:30–7:00 AM wake up. Consistent routines, no screens, and a dark room are recommended.
⌚Come to School On Time
The school day begins at Wells Branch Elementary when the bell rings at 7:35. Students should get to school 10-15 minutes before school starts so they have time to settle in and prep for the day.
🍳Eat A Good Breakfast
Students are welcome to a free breakfast every morning when they get to campus by 7:35. A balanced meal improves focus, memory, and productivity, which is particularly beneficial for testing days.
💻Bring a Charged Chromebook
Whether you bring your chromebook home or leave it at school, it’s Important to have a fully charged Chromebook, at school, on the day of testing.

Wells Branch AIA Library Presents: The Unusual Reading Spot Contest!
The Wells Branch Arts Integration Academy Library is thrilled to announce our first-ever Unusual Reading Spot Contest! Students are invited to take a creative photo of themselves reading in an unusual place or pose and enter it into our school-wide competition.
Students might be found reading in a tree, on a basketball court, near a famous landmark, or anywhere their imagination takes them. At Wells Branch, our students read EVERYWHERE!
Photo Guidelines
In your photo, the student must be visibly reading a book, and the book cover must be clearly visible. Each student may submit only one entry, but siblings are encouraged to appear together in a joint photo.
Tip – your book could “match” your unusual reading spot — for example, reading Soccer Superstars while on a soccer field in your soccer uniform would be a fun fit!

When: From now until Friday, April 10, 2026
How to Submit: Email a high-resolution photo of your entry to
wellsbranch_Library@roundrockisd.org
Please include the student’s name in the subject line, and don’t forget to turn in a signed paper permission form to the library.
Photo Requirements
When taking your photo, please adjust your camera to the highest resolution setting possible so we can enlarge it for display.
Minimum resolution: 1840 × 2300 pixels, Optimal resolution: 2400 × 3000 pixels or higher
Please note that some camera-phone photos may not meet the resolution needed for printing at a large size. Also, please do not Photoshop or digitally alter the image — we want it to remain as authentic as possible.
Winning Photos
A panel of judges will review all submissions, and the 10 winning images will be enlarged to 16” × 20” and displayed in the Wells Branch Library during the 2026–27 school year. Winners will be notified by email in mid-May.
Join WBE PTA for Family Game Night! Bring your favorite card or board game and enjoy a night full of fun, laughter, and connection. Light refreshments will be provided.
